BIOGRAPHY

 

 

Cassandra Hohn was born and raised in Aberdeen,South Dakota. She moved, with her family, to Salem,Oregon when she was 12 years old. She has been performing since the age of 4, in both community and professional theater. She has performed in over 70 productions of both Theater and Musical Theater.

Cassandra attended the Argonauts School of the Performing Arts in Salem Oregon and Graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Theater Arts. She is both trained in Classical Singing and Jazz and has performed with several bands in the Portland Area: The Ken DeRouchie Funk Band and Pink Martini Swing among them.

Cassandra won the Mount Hood Jazz Festival award for Best Jazz Vocalist of 1995 and The Pleasant Hill Jazz Festival Award, of the same name, in 1995.

Some of her favorite roles include, Reno Sweeny "Anything Goes", The Witch " Into The Woods", Lucy Brown " The Three Penny Opera", Mrs. Hannigan " Annie" and Meg "Damn Yankees".

For the past two years, she has teamed-up with the amazingly talented actor and musical theater singer, Tim Evanicki, to write, produce and perform their own list of self-contained cabaret shows in and around the New York City area. They shows include "R&H" Songs of Rogers and Hart, "Karaoke Night" A night of Cabaret style Karaoke and the ever popular "Fruitcakes! A Christmas Delicacy" performed at the Downstairs Cabaret Theater in Rochester New York.
